The Challenge:
One of the largest privately-owned companies in the world has a corporate culture based on the philosophies of its owners. Company culture is illustrated and communicated through a rich tradition of storytelling, derived from its varied history and long legacy of family ownership.
Fast growth and significant acquisitions found the company with a challenge: over half its global workforce had less than two years’ experience with the company. How would the company act quickly to effectively integrate new employees and align them to their five foundational cultural values?
The Solution:
GMG conducted a needs analysis of the existing classroom program and identified content that could be enhanced through an alternative delivery model. We then developed a series of five e-learning modules that focus on the company’s business, culture, history and principles, with a key component being their internal customer service philosophy and approach. Given the global nature of their workforce, the company sought an e-learning solution that could be cost-effectively deployed and maintained over time.
These modules, initially developed in English, were then translated into nineteen different languages for their global audience, including:
- Chinese
- Czech
- Dutch
- French
- German
- Greek
- Hungarian
- Indonesian
- Italian
- Japanese
- Korean
- Lithuanian
- Polish
- Portuguese
- Romanian
- Russian
- Spanish
- Thai
